Fido sim in Rogers unlocked 9100,but showing Rogers wireless?!!
Hello everyone
I'm new with blackberry
I'm with fido and just bought a "new" 2nd hand Rogers 9100, unlocked.
I was able to connect to fido network with my fido sim (can also find bell and telus), tho it shows ROAMING, I know it's not.
Today morning, I updated pearl's OS5 to ROGERS OS6...everything went well, but than I saw on top of the phone it says "Rogers wireless", and I can't find Fido in my networks anymore, all i found was rogers 2g, rogers 3g, telus and bell... and when I received a notification from from facebook, the phone showed me a message saying that "the charge may be higher..."
and I did delete vendor file when updating.
Should I use the OS6 from vodafone than? or even from telus? or go back to fido OS5?
Thanks~~ - 05-04-2011, 11:39 AM #2

It's really weird....
I was hopelessly searching and waiting for a solution, and at the same time, seting up this new OS.
After having removed that AOL thing, it asked me to reboot, so I did and than FIDO is back again!!! - 05-05-2011, 12:58 AM

At afternoon, as I reboot my phone, it went back to Rogers...so I called Fido tech support (*611, this time it was surprisingly fast, someone answered my call within a min...wow~lolll)
@ Fubaz, Yeah, I called Fido at the end of the day just to make sure I wasn't in trouble with this, and that's what they told me too. Thank you so much

you can also try to set your networks to connect manually, but i think it's OK that its switching them because it's all the same in this case.
