This hybrid is an add on for 9700 .593, using parts of the OS .669 for the Storm 2. I've gotten great reviews on this, and nobody can find a single issue so far.
There is still room for beta testers!
Read the follow up I posted on the bottom of this post!
FEATURES:
- Faster browser
- Fast Camera
- Faster OS and Media
- Really fast bootup
- No memory leak
- Fixes SMS freezing issue!
- Should fix grainy picture issue. If it doesnt, go on your computer and delete all the .dat files from your memory card and try again
- Awesome bluetooth
The steps I take afterwards installation are
- Restore all content, download all apps again
- Pull battery, wait 1 minute.
- Pull battery 2 more times, waiting one minute before putting the battery back in.
Thanks for this. the first time I've used a hybrid, followed the info from your site and it made it easy. Thanks for all your work, now looking forward to the future releases
Been running this since yesterday and I still think this is the best berry build ever.
On top of my previous comments, I can also add that bluetooth is perfect in this build. I don't have to blast the volume on my sync system anymore and I can hear callers just fine and they hear me without me having to yell - they can't even tell I'm on bluetooth. This alone is a huge bonus but the battery life - wow. I left my phone out of standby when I passed out last night at 30% - its at 29% and usually would be at 15%

I couldn't wait to install (as per my post in the 4.6 thread). It just finished, so I will let you all know what I find. Looking forward to seriously killer battery life. Bring it!

@PC
Thanks for the effort that you put into your hybrids. Everything is working for me with no issues- as expected. Again, IMHO- arguably, this is your best hybrid.

Wow another already?! You must be crazy busy PC lol!
BTW For the .exe I'm getting this message: "The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable." The zip works just fine. But I will wait for the .exe to work as its much easer
Just installed this using the .zip. Normally not a big fan of Hybrids, but us 9700 folk are getting restless with no new leaks for so long! 'About' reports .669; everything appears to run fast and smooth, as it should. Will try it out for the next few days and report back on UMA / battery life / etc. Thanks for this, PwnCakes.
I think I'll try this out tonight. But I'm really curious why the dates on the .cod files are so old. Most seem to be dated 3/29/2010. The .593 files are dated 3/27, whereas the .664 files for the 9100 are dated 4/25.
PwnCakes193: Does this latest version still have the {0} issue that was mentioned in another thread? Thanks for you hard work and the feedback of the Beta testers!
Starting to wonder if this reported battery level is correct...
After two hours and ten minutes of use (10 minute phone call, 10 minutes of web surfing, texting every few minutes, otherwise idle) the reported battery left is- 100%!
EDIT: It was a glitch. Battery pull (took 2 min, 28 sec. to reboot) fixed battery reporting.
The battery life has never been better. Similar to v2.5. Haven't had a single error all day, and media has been awesome. Hope you guys like it as much as I do

No issues to speak of. Everything works as it should. No 0 issue, no VAD issue. Setup is fixed too.
Xeju- the dates from .593 are from march 27th. That's the last leak we got. Over a month ago. A MONTH. Jeez I need a new leak
The only issue I have run into is the notification LED keeps blinking after the message has been cleared. Great work on the hybrids, but gonna roll back to the 4.6 version.
