Smile Curve 8900 OS 5.0.0.100

Had a few people asking for an up-to-date link for OS 5.0.0.100 for the 8900 so here it is:

BlackBerry Curve 8900 OS V5.0.0.100

Once on the page, type in the code that appears on screen, wait 45 secs then download the file and load in through DM.

I tried clicking the link but the new web page would not load. Is anyone else having this problem? If so can someone post an updated link please? Thanks!!

I tried several times on different computers within my network to load the link but still nothing, even after clearing history. Is there another website or method of downloading OS 5.0?

Why don't you try using an anonymous proxy. Paste the link in the address bar within the page, then try to download it.

Thanks! It got me to the website but then when I tried to download it the proxy site wouldn't let me saying that the file was too big. Any other ideas?

This might be a weird question, but do you have to extract this file in any way? Ive never seen a file like this one before.

Update: Nevermind, I had a brainfart and figured it out.

So I won't have to open another thread. Can you use 3rd party themes on OS 5?
