1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
Great timing. I had JUST started trying to hack the 5.0 browser into .247 last night. Can anyone answer the following about this version, so I know I'm not wasting my time?
Is the word wrap issue still present in this version?
Is there any noticeable speed different between this version and .247?
Does it have any of the app compatibility problems of 5.0?
My goal is to get the speed and word wrap bonus of 5.0 into a stable OS that's compatible with everything people want to use. If this version is better than .247 I'd like to use it as the platform for my hybrid experiment. If it makes the browser closer to the one in 5.0 I'll just skip the experiment and give this version a try. If there's no noticeable benefit to this version over .247, I'll proceed with my plan as I was last night. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance, CB users, and thanks for the announcement, marshalljahja!

i think everyone here generally likes and wants 5.0, problem is some apps not compatible and some bugs in it still. Its still only the first leaked build of 5.0 after all

your choice, but a pretty big generalization to infer it isnt as good when no one has even reported back on .266 yet.
Downloaded, installed and running.... will keep you posted...
Only problem so far... if I use a background image in any of my themes other than default of sample images.. it does not cover screens width.... strange..
