Cool Web hosting suggestions?

My apologies if I'm posting in the wrong forum, but I'm not sure where this should go.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good web hosts? I'm looking for a company to host my domain and can't find any reliable reviews. BTW, it's a personal site, so I'm looking for a hosting plan for less than $10/month. Thanks!

I've used SiteGround.com for over a year now, and found them to be a great value.

Only problem I had was they once decided to "secure" my server without telling me, and the change broke my shopping cart. It was easy to fix, but would have been nice to know they were going to break something first. I doubt they will do this again after I gave them a bit of a lecture on this.

Patrick

P.S. Nice pic. =)

Thanks for the suggestion, and for the compliment.

I've been using alwayswebhosting.com for about 6 months now without any problem. I found an awesome deal on a forum at webhostingtalk.com.

I've also used 10for10.com for a few sites and haven't had a problem with them either. The key difference between the two for me was that AWS has cPanel which I prefer over DirectAdmin that 10for10 has.

BTW, 10for10 is owned by a bigger company called empoweringmedia.com.

I personally use Midphase.com but for clients that need a cheaper alternative, 1&1 hosting (1and1.com) .

Check your domain registrar as well because they usually give free hosting when you register a domain. GoDaddy.com is one of them.
