USB serial port Communication

Hello,

I am using blackberry desktop API to connect from desktop to device. The commincation works fine from both sides when there is no sleep between send and recieve in the usb demo application on the device. When i add a sleep of 100 seconds between recieve and send in the device then send from device throws an exception saying Disconnected.

Did any one of you face such a problem. I checked weather we can set timeouts for the connection but didnt find anything in the API manuals.
