Default Is there a way to download rapidshare files on the storm?

I was wondering If there is a way to download rar files off rapidshare and other file hosting sites right from your blackberry or would u have to do that from your pc?

Yes it can be downloaded, but however you cannot unzip if that is how it is when you download it

I was able to download a 1 Mb App through rapidshare on my Storm. I was at work and they block that domain, so i browsed to it with my Storm. I used the Firefox option, due to not being able to get IE or BB to work for me

When you go to get that link, the browser recognizes it is NOT a normal HTML link, and asks if you would like to download.

I downloaded to my Storm 8Gb media card. Saved it

I have my USB cable at work as well as DM installed on work laptop

I extracted onto desktop.

Opened DM, installed app and good to go.

I think i covered it all, if not let me know

I was able to download several 30Mb videos with my bb browser. I downloaded them not from rapidshare but another site. Worked fine. They were not zipped though.

You are NOT limited to the 3.9Mb download cap if you are using Opera Mini???????

Please tell me that is the case

Does the Bolt browser allow you to download more than the 3.9Mb cap as well???????

Just so you know, I use BBFileScout (which is a free file browser app) and it lets you zip/unzip.

I second the plead for a guide to large downloading. Every time I try Opera for large files, it opens the BB browser and gives me the 'too big' speech. If I try to save in Opera (as opposed to open which brings up the BBB), I end up with a 1kb file.
If I can get my BlackBerry to do large files, I might even play football with my Nokia!

Thanks in advance.

Latest version of OperaMini will let you save big files to the media card. There's no magic involved. Tell it to save and pick the media card location to save it to. I've downloaded 1xxMB files in the past with my old 8830 all the time. Still waiting for Opera to get off it's *** and update OM for the Storm. WTF is taking so long?
