I'm assuming it can't be from the US because you guys don't have the 9500 do you? You just have the 9530. I could be Aussie because i think they still sell that phone!
What ever happened to the supposed .7xx OS from China for the 9530?
I have exchanged a few PM's with a guy who claims to be in China is working on it. I am hoping someone can get their hands on an .8xx build now but I doubt it.

He says he just needs to get his hands on a 9530 so he can try and extract it. What sucks is that China Telecom is only doing BB for corporate BES clients so the RIM download page won't have it. We have to literally extract it from the device so you you'd end up with a hybrid, but one that has more of the SFI files.
Edit: just caught the joke about OS6. I wish. LOL. I was referring to 5.0.0.672 or 5.0.0.732 above.

We have to literally extract it from the device so you you'd end up with a hybrid, but one that has more of the SFI files.

Won't matter anyway. You can't extract anything but the Java files off the phone itself. The RAM image (Platform/SFI file content) cannot be pulled off with public tools.

Well that sucks. Didn't we see leaks before where they pulled pieces of the SFI? I think there was one Jlevy leaked and Lyricidal put am installer on. Not a full OS, but a lot more than a hybrid.

I think what you remember is a couple of times when carriers released an OS through DM a few days before dropping the .exe installer in the wild.
That carriers customers got the files off their PC and shared them so we could install the full OS hybrid style.
I am just wondering if this leaks Java files will play nice for some hybrids...maybe they fix some crap in that latest 9530 leak with the messed up camera and muting issues....

I'd rather have .672 at this point because it didnt suffer from the call mute bug and the camera worked. These are the 2 reasons why I dont have .685 on my phone. I loved the keyboard speed on .685 though it was the best yet.
