This exclusive offer not available online.
Call 866-562-7899 or visit your nearest Verizon Wireless store.

Just got an email from verizon. It says my phone number below all that and says I am eligible for an upgrade unless I received one in the past 180 days.

Are they tired of people multifruing up to s2's or trying to increase sales for the holidays. I bought my phone past may so I know it is early for me to get my new every two deal. Just interested to know if anyone else has received these emails?

I am a Storm customer from the first day it came out last year. I received the flyer but I'm not interested in upgrading since the updates have came out. I finally have no problems so I don't want to get a new phone and have to wait for at least a year for the bugs to be worked out.

I got my email today. I was just in the Verizon store over the weekend trying to get an upgrade and they told me to come back on the 25th (my annual date). I plan to pick up my Storm2 soon.

Yeah I got the email and didn't even realize it til this post...

My question is...they say its an early upgrade "at an incredible discount" that's not even available to regular customers or online...

Now how much would a S2 or a droid cost to a new customer who walks in and doesn't have a vzw account and signs a new 2 year contract?

    Guess what....

    Go to verizonwireless.com

As a new customer...their page shows that you can get a storm2 for $279.99

Plus an "online discount" of -$100.00, if you purchase off their website..

    Which makes it $179.99.....

PLUS THE STORM2 IS PART OF THE BLACKBERRY BOGO OFFER.

    Therefore...as a new customer, you get 2 STORM2s for $179.99!!!!

THIS "EARLY UPGRADE" IS A TOTAL FRAUD! DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

    YOU LIE VZW!!!

take in account that the new customer pays a $35.00 activation fee and still has to activate a second line at 25.00 to get the bogo so yes its a better deal for the select customers that upgrade without the 20 early upgrade fee

I still don't feel that doubling the memory and adding WiFi (the two major differences between the S1 and S2) translates to a monetary worth of $180.00. Once it's around $100.00, I'll go for it. Until then, I'm going to enjoy my S1 with 5.0.0.328, which is fantastic.

if they give current S1 users the $99 deal, then I would be all over this...but I still haven't received my email yet
