Hey i just ordered a Blackberry Storm off ebay and i was wondering if anyone knew where the cheapest and most reliable place to get an unlock code is.

I'm pretty sure the cheapest and most reliable place would be actually calling VZW and asking them to unlock it.

Apparently, if you are a long term customer with a history of paying bills fully and on time, you can express a desire to unlock for use abroad.

Once the device is unloacked it's always unlocked. Up or downgrading the OS has nothing to do with being locked ot not. Again, I suggest Horizon Wireless Online. Quick, professional, reliable.

Yes, all model Storms can be unlocked to work on GSM networks.

The reason someone unlocks the Storm is to use it on other GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile. If it is locked you can only use with VZW.
