Default 8220 + Linksys WRT160N = ????

I got the WRT160n a few months ago when my old linksys died. If I can i want to use it since it puts out way better signal then the dlink tmobile gave me.

I can setup the profile in the manage connections and it picks up the signal very good with 2 bars on the dlink and a full bar on the linksys.

Am I just stupid or what? it wanted to do WPS setup which I told it not to do. Since I dont think there is anywhere to setup the profile that i know anyway on the router.

Before I updated my OS I could swear i got it to at least work for internet on the phone. now it acts like it cant connect for some reason.

Before I drive myself nuts. am i wasting my time or should this be working?

The N routers are a pain, I think I remember that a possible solution was to lower WEP security to 64-bit.

I didnt have to change anything router side.

wpa2 personal for securrity.

Now I just need to get the nokia working on it so I can move it having th dlink and linksys close together seems to be screwing with the signal a bit.

Not crazy about fooling around with the nokia tho lol. I doubt i'll get as lucky as i did finding all the info I can find here.

Should talk her into getting a 8220 before its to late lol.

I have the same problem with my flip sometimes. Especually since I added a psk key to my router set up for security. I recently turned off my wifi and then turned it back on after reading a post regarding getting youtube on the flip. I have the settings for the connection saved and am hoping it will connect on its own eventually. If not ill probably have to reenter and replace it again. Seems it should be more automatic though.
