Does anyone know if there is an app needed for the media player to work?
I continue to get this message "an error has occured attempting to play media"

your browser identification in your browser configuration needs to be set as "blackberry browser". I tried it with it configured as explorer and it didn't work..

hmmm, i don't have "blackberry browser" as an option. i only have "hotspot browser", "internet browser" & "media net".
am i missing something?

Is it possible that AT&T has blocked the ability to use youtube? Seems like their afraid of their network capacity...

I also can not get it to work on AT&T's network

I was able to get on youtube and watch videos right out of the box and I'm on att also

Are you running on the BIS or BES server? Maybe its my company's server (and others) that's preventing youtube from working.

youtube works for me, didnt work the first time, it asks to switch to WAP mode. You must enable it to switch to WAP mode and it will play just fine.

i totally forgot to check when i downloaded 4.5 to my curve but m.youtube.com works just fine on my bold! (thanks for reminding me to check - this is awesome!)
