    heyy,

got a rather odd problem here w/ my bold...

i can send files to my PC and other phones, but i can't receive any files via bluetooth (regardless of whet. it just pairs and says "connected to xxxx" and there's a checkbox under that, sth to do with a/v remote.

how can i get my bold to receive files via bluetooth? so far sending seems okay, but i can't be sure. any settings that i've gotta change or sth ?

    many thanks in advance

hmm this is what my settings are under bluetooth options:

    device name: BoldBT
    discoverable: yes
    allow outgoing calls: always
    contacts transfer: all entries
    led connection indicator: on
    security level: high + encryption
    connect on power up: yes

and for services, all the boxes are checked..

    any idea ???

I'm assuming you are trying to send something TO your bold?

if that's the case, you need to go into media (aka the screen where you see videos, pictures, ringtones, voicenotes) on that screen hit the BB key, and you should see an option saying "receive using bluetooth"

    click it.

    voila

steps broken down basically fall into this:

prepare the file you want to send (example, from your computer or another phone)

before you are about to send it, go on the bb and do the "send using bluetooth thing"

    then send the file

and it should send just fine after that.

No problem its definitely convenient if you're just trying to transfer a few things on the go. Glad it helped
