Default Round Robin: Jennifer's BB Bold Questions

Hello again BlackBerry Lovers! I've once again crossed the border into the BlackBerry Nation where all the CrackBerrys live.

I now have the Bold in my hands! Very impressive looking! I loved the Curve last year and just when I was starting to get used to it, my time was up. So now it's like starting over again from scratch on a BB device. I know that with your help, I can figure things out and have lots of fun!

I've reacquainted myself with the trackball, which I really like. I just now got my email set up. I had forgotten how lightning fast those emails zip to the device.

I definitely want to mess around with some different themes. I guess I can find plenty here at CrackBerry.com. Is that most of you get your themes?

What's a good weather app? I love checking the weather on mobile devices. I looked at the one that is on the device but I'd like something different.

What are some apps that you'd suggest for a BlackBerry newcomer? I frequently check RSS feeds.

What browser do you prefer? Opera? It seems like I used Opera last year on the Curve.

Well, I need to go and catch up on all the Storm news!

This is an Official Round Robin Contest Thread!

Viigo

I find that this is a great RSS software. Easy to use, also if interested can get live sport scores.

You need the CB launcher, so you can stay in touch with CB on the go

Viigo has a weather channel as well, and i use it all the time. In the app, it shows basic info, but you can access the weather channel from in there as well.

Hey Jennifer

My two favorite themes:

Nitro - Today / Bottom Zen (Customizable) - 9000's (Bold) - Themes BlackBerry Software - Crackberry Store)

and

BOLD Today Plus - BOLD OS 4.6 - Themes BlackBerry Software - Crackberry Store

I also prefer WeatherEye as someone posted here

And as far as browsers are concerned, I tend to switch between the RIM and Opera

Gotta second (or third) the Viigo recommendation. With my work travel I could not survive wihout WorldMate

I have tried different browsers but find that so far I use the RIM browser the most

also the websignals "accuweather" pushes weather directly to your BB as well.. WebSignals along with Fox News Mobile and NY Times. Bewarned it takes just a little bit before the icons show up and start updating. ;] Also check out PimpMyBerry they have a good selection of themes for the Bold.

I switch between rim's browser and opera. The rim's browser is a bit better than it was on the curve. Google maps is a good app as well.

Don't forget the Beejive IM app if you use multiple IM services. You can download the 30-day trial for the Round Robin.
