No it's not. Currently development has stopped on 4.6, only bug fixes. But not every carrier is going to release 5.0 when it's available. AT&T has not even started testing 5.0 for the 9000 yet. So while it might not make sense to some, it does for others.

I'd like to know as well even though I'm running 5.0.

I'm running 5.0.0.238 and it runs 95% smoothly. The remaining 5% is for unsupported apps and a couple of minor niggles which I can certainly live with until an official one is released.

As I posted in my first reply in this thread, right now 4.6 is only getting bug fixes. No development. Yes technically it is better than .301 but how noticeable most might find it is slim to none.

ugh for my bold this has been the worst. The signal fluctuates so much and when I make a phone call the quality is so bad, it's like I have 1 bar and their voice sounds choppy when in reality I have full bars.

My facebook application doesn't seem to work anymore after upgrading. After attempting to login, a msg from facebook pops up saying

"Could not connect because data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support."

The internet browser works fine, therefore i believe it's a problem with the new .303 combined with facebook 1.6
i tried to downgrade to .301 (things were fine with that software), but i cant seem to do it because it says theres no upgrade available using loader and deleting vendor.xml
    please help!

Same here, that is the one thing I would like to get fixed. Even with running a hybrid, I had issues. 266 loaded pictures very quickly, but I like having the 2G/3G network option that 282 and up has.
