Default Bold Unlock

I just won the new Bold a day before it was released (still waiting to receive it via mail) but the catch is that I have Verizon, not AT&T. I read here before that it isn't possible to do an unlock but I've already seen the Bold pop up on ebay, etc as "unlocked." Can I do this? Or should I sell it and get the Storm when it comes out? I am tired of the shared keys on my Pearl!!

Unfortunately, AT&T and Verizon use different wireless technology, Verizon is CDMA and AT&T is GSM. It is not possible to use the AT&T phone on Verizon, unlocked or not.

1. Insert SIM card and power phone on.
2. Make sure the radio and wireless are turned off.
3. Go to Options -> Advanced Options -> SIM Card
4. Type MEPD on the keyboard (you won't see the text)
5. Type MEPP then [ALT button] then 2 (again you won't see the text)
6. Enter the unlock code and press enter
7. Reboot. Device is now unlocked.
