[Reply] Looks like the price is $1299 on the site.

Better than 1500 but still expensive though. That's about the price for being on the bleeding edge. Plus all the bragging rights about it being a "pre-release" model since it's not officially released in this country...

[Reply] I'll buy one from AT&T in a couple weeks for $300 and sell it for $1500...

[Reply] What a rip off! The Bold is a great device, but not for 1299.00

[Reply] I wonder if they'll get their pins locked by RIM. Kevin has a pre release unit and his pin is locked.

[Reply] They're just selling unlocked Roger's Blackberry Bolds so they should actually work without a hitch. I'm taking the plunge and ordering one of them (I already have a Rogers Bold) as a backup Blackberry. Will report about the service asap.
Thanks

[Reply] That price is criminally high. It should be illegal to sell things that high when the actual manufacturing cost is about 10% that.

[Reply] pard me for the n00b question, but what happens when your PIN is locked?
I understand everyphone has its own unique pin, then does blackberry recognize a bolds being used early or something and then lock your phone? disable its service? or what....
also, what else is your PIN used for?

[Reply] If this will be the price, my heart is broken, I'll wait a while to get my Bold.

[Reply] The only pins that they'll possibly block are the pre-release units. These are all Rogers phones that have been unlocked.

[Reply] In the UK, generic unlocked Bold's are being sold for £360 by the major cellphone stores.
