Default No email today

I awoke this morning to find the mobile network connection on my Pearl turned off. I switched it back on, but I am not receiving email, not able to browse website, and cannot send email (a test email I sent out has a clock face next to it, indicating to me that it is queued up).

Any idea why this might be?

Okay, so I resolved this problem with the much-discussed "battery pull." This was my first time resorting to it, which now leads me to question why it seems to be necessary to resolve issues in so many divergent situations. Is there no other way to reset a BB device than to remove the battery?

There is software called soft reset which will do that.

Many thanks for that. I also noticed, during whatever incident took place overnight, that SureType mode was disabled, requiring a simple but puzzling trip back to Options.

How common are these blips that go blip in the night? What caused it? Questions, questions...
