Default New to Blackberry - how do you reset?

I've used Treo's for years and just switched to BB 8130. I tried to download a program from Handango and my BB is stuck in a loop. The screen has been showing an hourglass for 2 hours. I removed the battery but it had no effect. Can anyone help me?

removing the battery is the first step to take...try removing it again, and leave it out for 30 seconds...then put it back in...the BB will hourglass for about 2-5 minutes before booting back up (if it does)

if it doesn't boot up, you're looking at a device OS reload....you need a PC, the BB Desktop Manager software (on the CD), and the BB device software (from you're carrier's website).

Or Alt. + LEFT Shift + Del.

For a soft restart

Default soft reset

The only shift key I see on the 8130 is the same key as the # key. The alt key is the down arrow key on the left and the delete key is labeled "delete." I'm I missing something regarding the "left shift?"

The Pearls only have one shift key. The Curves have two. Try leaving the battery out longer, two hours or more. This works most times.

Default No More Battery Pulls

Here is a link for a free soft reset program. No longer will you have to physically pull your battery. Works slicker than $&!# through a goose.
