Question Help with security settings

Whenever I lock (which I assume is just the keypad lock) my phone when I want to unlock it I have to enter my password. I am certain I didn't have to do that when I first got the phone, but I can't remember if it was after I set up my BES email that it started asking for a password.

Anyways I went into the security general settings to try and change it but there is this red thing that looks like a lock next to password enabled and I can't change it to disabled.

Would this have something to do with my IT policy? I know I can't access google talk anymore since setting up my BES email because of that....

Yes this is probably controlled by your company's IT policy. You would need to talk to your BES admin regarding this issue.

It's not you...it's your company, who's put a lock on the BB. You need to f/u with your BES administrator.
