It's very easy to take on and off, I do it every morning to clean and pull the battery. I love it and couldn't be happier. To answer your question, it does NOT slide around at all.

Probably not. My Tour (with Otterbox) does fit into my Tour OEM holster but is a tight fit and the magnetic "latch" doesn't quite fit where it should.

My commuter case does not allow me to fit it in the OEM 9700 case, however using the oem 9000 holster it fits just fine. A nice plus is most web sites have them cheaper!

Hey. This is exactly what I was think I would need to do. Fit the 9700 with commuter in my old 9000 oem holster. How does it look in the leather holster? Can you take a couple pics and post it?

I got the Impact Case for my tour. I tried the communter case but just didn't feel right in my hand. Felt kind of slick. All the Otter Box's are great though. Wouldn't use anything else.

I originally ordered the commuter case, but couldn't stand being without a clip and it was too tight in the OEM holster. The case was great, but lack of clip was a hassle so I ordered the Defender Case and love it. Its actually not as bulky as I was thinking it would be

Man I gotta, say.....sometimes being in Vancouver BC Canada, blows A$$!!
I love this case!....However, even with the discount, I paid the $12.00 shipping and then got nailed at my door for another $12.80 for Brokerage fees.....YAY!!

I'm getting so sick of getting **** raped for orders in the states crossing the line.
A case that would have been $34.00 taxes in, winds up being over $52 and is sure not worth it......but anyway. I still love the case just a little sore from the rape.

It is great! I was never sold on using the otterbox on my 9000, but the size and dropping my 9700 once scared me enough to try this and it was a blessing that the 9000 holster worked with the otterbox case on it!

Other than the Bold 9000 OEM holster, what other BB branded holsters will the 9700 Otterbox Commuter fit in?

Rogers carries both the commuter and defender for the 9700. I saw both today at Coquitlam Center in Poco.

i too am in love with this case. coming from the 8300 (with a short, unhappy stint in the world of WinMo with HTC Touch Pro), the 9700 did feel a little small, but I second all the comments that this case adds just enough size to make the phone feel substantial in the hand. i also like the two different layers of protection.

i did have an issue putting on the included screen protector though. the first sticker and layer came off fine, but the second one didn't and now i have a sticky residue. ick! anyone else use the screen and experience this?

I really like my commuter although I think that I will get a defender as well for my 8530. The defender doesn't look to be as bulky on the 8530 for some reason. I don't use otterbox screen protectors though. I use the privacy one that I got for half price (for the 8330) from the verizon store. It works great!

Among my friends and I who have various smartphones, the top pick for protective screen is from Protechyourdevice (as a newb here, I'm not allowed to link yet), lifetime no hassle warranty.

35% off Feb code is "Heart2010"

Thanks for the 9000 case tip, buying one off eBay now for my wife's 9700.

I'm having a hard time deciding between the Defender and Commuter. My worry about the Commuter is that the part that's not covered by plastic would stick trying to slide into and out of my pocket. That and it would collect lint/dust. Is this true? I used to have a silicone case and it was horrible, it was a small phone and I still had trouble getting it into my pocket because it stuck, and after about a day it was filthy.

I'd appreciate any feedback from someone who's used the case a couple days.
