- I had one yesterday..
Customer called in wondering where his rebate was, said it has been three months. I checked and it said that it was never submitted. I asked him if he made copies of the stuff he mailed in and the customer said, "I was never told I had to mail anything for my mail in rebate.."

And it was postmarked 3 weeks after expiration.07-02-09 07:13 PMLike 0 - Ok here is one, and not even about a customer! (really...) Cust comes in, was informed by a rep that she could access a site on her Storm that used Flash. as we all know, Adobe hasnt yet created a mobile version of flash, so it wouldnt work... My co-worker came up to me about the situation and i told her "nope, cant do it. Blackberries dont support flash." This is the same rep that asked me 3 straight days how to recover a lost web browser.
So what does she do? Spends an hour with the phone trying to get it to work. idk if she was trying to prove me wrong or what... then asked me what we could do. *beats head against wall*07-02-09 08:01 PMLike 0 - On the Howard Stern Show last week, they talked about an iPhone app, I think it was called iPleasure, that would turn the vibrate function of the phone on...07-02-09 09:43 PMLike 0

- I just read every post in this thread. Thanks everyone! great read...
Went to the Verizon store a few weeks ago to upgrade my wife's phone. As i wait there at the desk a guy with a Storm walkes up. We started talking and he had one of those hard plastic shells on his phone. He askes me what the best way to clean the cover would be. I jokingly told him to just throw it in the dishwasher.
2 days later I get a call from my CSR at the store (friend of mine) telling me that same guy just came to the store to replace his Storm with water damage. Can you guess what happened?07-03-09 11:01 PMLike 0 - or my personal favorite:
"I get no reception at my house! Your service is terrible! I'm canceling!"
"Has the service ever been good in your home?"
"No! Never!"
"Oh ok. Well I see you've been with us since 2004 and you just upgraded...have you recently moved?"
"No!"
Ugh...really?
Hope to see some more gems posted here soon!
the only reason i stayed with verizon was the Storm. i absolutely love the "CLICK" touchscreen. i won't touch another touchscreen phone without the "click" feature...either way, i'm unlocking my phone for use with T-Mobile(hopefully)

wow!07-04-09 04:25 AMLike 0 - Oooh, I got another one for ya...
Cust came into store and upgraded his phone. He purchased a car charger too. He was the sweetest customer ever, I even showed him how to send his first text message.
He comes back 3 hours later, furious, cussin', and approaches my counter. During the time, I was helping another gentleman. The irate customer starts wailing at me, cussing at me, screaming about his effn phone, and the effn charger, and how i'm an mfin this and that... blah blah blah.
Well, apparently this boy genious decided to stick the car charger in the wall socket and hurt his hand. So he came back to the store to "chew me a new one". The ****** actually made me cry. At this point, the guy I was actually helping at the time, started yelling at him. And told him that if he didn't quit his bit**n, he was gonna kick his *** and make him apologize. That put an instant smile on my face. Unfortunately, my manager stepped in and the security guard escorted boy genious out the store.
**Argh, woo saaaahh....****07-04-09 04:47 AMLike 0 -
- Agreed. I love the customers who think we're out to get them or that because they've been with us for a certain amount of time they deserve to not pay overages or because we're a coporation (oh those damn rich evil corporations) that we shouldn't charge overages or we should bend over for the customer and always make sure everything is perfect. We should also do everything for them, they shouldn't have to monitor their own minutes, their own bills, or features. We should do it for them. We should open up two new call centers and call customers who are going over their allotments. We should credit just because you've been a great customer for 5 years. Well sir, we've been a great provider for 5 years, mind paying us extra every month just because we do that, becuase when I credit you I am in fact paying you to be a customer and I'm sorry if we did that to all our customers we wouldn't be in business.
/rant.
Don't you love how customer's always say, "why didn't you call me to tell me I was going over", and then i reply... because you opted out of receiving any phone calls from Verizon, blocked your texting, and never check your account online.07-04-09 04:56 AMLike 0 - i was in vegas for the weekend my berry never left my side but yet again it never left my pocket i saw a person lose there phone out there hand on the ride in front of new york new york i kinda lol cos i know he was going to a store /call center and blame someone but him self07-04-09 05:00 AMLike 0

The tour was announced today officially as being available on verizon on the 12th.
I walk into the nearest VZW store and ask if they will be getting the Blackberry Tour on the 12th like i read. The nice young lady just cocked her head, and replied "the blackberry what?" I calmly replied, "the blackberry tour, it has been announced officially by verizon for release in the coming month." blank stare. She then proceeds to give me immense amounts of attitude and tells me the only info i could possibly find is online...
Am i crazy for thinking that since the device is now official they should at least know something? lol
Two answers on that one....
1. If its a dealer store, I don't think they get the info via email/Outlook because they are not a corporate store.
2. As a direct employee, I did receive the info, but got conflicting statements from mgmnt as to what we can actually tell customers. Even though people can go online at vzw.com, read all about the tour, pricing, features, pre-orders, etc... I know, it souds dumb, but sometimes it is that way in the Verizon world. Go figure...07-04-09 05:23 AMLike 0 - Okay I work for a computer company and we had a pretty funny experience.
We had to go to a company's office to help a lady with her computer, she claimed her mouse and keyboard weren't working. When we got there we asked her to do the login with her keyboard, just to show us it wasn't working. She then went on to type in her username and password, once it worked she was so shocked; she said "Oh! I didn't think it would work." at that time I asked "Why didn't you think it would work?", she then said "Because there are no wires going from my keyboard and mouse to my computer"... It was a wireless keyboard and mouse, and she assumed that it wouldn't work because there are no wires.. Lol07-04-09 11:22 AMLike 0 -
