Supposedly at&t is getting the niagra in May 2009 and I would definitely expect Sprint to be way behind AT&T on that curve (a year has been their track record, so even if you assume better than that, it's not soon).

the Niagra is the another name of the Javeline, just GSM correct?

yeah I'm just like you, not to interested in touch screen... which touch screen have you tried?

T Mobile can't even launch theirs nationwide in 2008! You'd think that a company with that much competitive advantage could position it for a profit. That's the reason I quit working for them...love the company, but damn it's frustrating. A drunk monkey could advertise for Sprint!

wow! I thought 3G was new! I didn't even know Sprint had it out in 2002! Thanks for the 411 :-)!

No. The Niagara is going to be the CDMA upgrade to the 8830we. The Javelin is the GSM Curve upgrade.

i thought that the upgrade to the 8830 was the bold? and the niagara/javelin was the upgrade of the curve for gsm/cdma, respectively. did i read this incorrectly?

The Javelin is the Curve upgrade.

The Niagra is different. You can find the specs on it around various websites.

Trust me. The Niagara and the Javelin are NOT the same device. Not even close. Here, read these articles...

Did you make the official decision or was it the guy at the Sprint Kiosk in the mall?
matt351 08:43 PM 11-13-2008 -- [Reply]
Sprint will not get the Bold period. SEARCH! Phones most likely to come to Sprint are the Niagara(8830we replacement) and the Jupiter(New cdma curve). The Bold is old news anyway. The Jupiter and Niagara should be much nicer phones all-around.

sprint needs to step their game up
papped 02:31 PM 11-14-2008 -- [Reply]
Why step up when you can just bleed customers in a bad economy :-)
