| | New customer from Verizon to Sprint...
guys, I am trying to find out what would be the most economically best way to obtain the new Tour. I am currently a vzw customer but plan on trying out sprint for 30 days. The plan I was looking at was $99 unlimited plan but when I went into my company discount website, every plan is discounted but the $99 plan. is $99 plan off limits on discount?
also i noticed that I can get $50 back by typing save01 or something like that....basically, can someone tell me what would be the cheapest way to go for Tour coming from vzw? does sprint have activation fee?
will the SERO plan be best if I can get that? Thanks.

I do not feel very appreciated at vzw. No complaints. Every couple years when my contract is up, I usually look. couple years ago, i had tmo for 3 days before reupping with vzw. this time, its sprint...if i don't like their phone call quality, i'll re up with vzw but due to their competitive pricing, sprint is worth a test drive for me.

oh well if sprint is in your coverage i can tell you u wont be disapointed and yea i hate that companies seem to want to satisfy new people more then trusty old customers. but hey vzw isnt the only company same happens with sprint i never had vzw so i dont know exactly what you mean by they stopped being nice. sprint seems pretty nice to me i just got a replacement curve 2 days ago without having insurance and no charge so yea. maybe sprint is for u we'll see after ur test drive and dont let old rumors change ur mind becuase we have trolls like that guy starting things but good luck

will the SERO plan be best if I can get that? Thanks. | I have a feeling the $99 plan is the SEP which they don't discount. If you are looking at a BB and need data, try the Everything Data, that one will allow you to get the discount. According to Sprint the SEP is heavily discounted already, so they will not allow corporate discounts. To get around the activation fee, just activate it online, or ask when you signup to get it waived.

from what I have read and heard discounts do not apply to any unlimited plans from most carriers.

If you buy online there typically is no activation fee,
As far as plans go, you wont be able to beat the sprint plans..the most economical plan is the Everything data 450 for $69.99 which does include txt.., GPS, maps and navigation... the other "premium" services like radio, tv etc are of more questionable value..
If you have corporate discounts they can be added at any time..

google: "sprint everything plus" (have not achieved a high enough post count to post links)
email: russ.s.mcguire at sprint.com

russ mcguire, vp of strategy/sprint publicized this on his blog some time ago..
corp discount will *NOT* be available on the simply everything plan, but others have been reported to receive it on the everything plus/everything plus variations..

If your call volume warrants unlimited minutes, even without a discount the $99 is still much less than you'd be paying at vzw. If you don't use that many minutes go with an everything data plan, everything is included like on the sep except unlimeted minutes but with with free nighs starting at 7 and free weekends a lot of people don't need unlimited minutes and you can get a discount on those plans.

The only SEP that you can't use Corp discount on is the SEP $99 plan. they allowed corp discounton the $69 450 SEP and $89 900 SEP. I have the $89 900 SEP and I got my Corp discount. Sprint welcomes you.

well, my call volume currently do not warrant unlimited. On vzw plan right now, 450min for $39.99, $29.99 BIS, 500 txts for $10 and 20%discount for my work.
On sprint, I am looking at 900 min everything data which would cost $3 less than what i am currently paying for vzw plan. Eventually if i need to add BES, what is the additional cost?

When you go with the Data Everything plan ($69.99) you will also qualify as a "Premier Customer" after 3 months which means you qualify for upgrades one year into a 2 year contract. Wish I knew that as I have a $39.99 voice plan plus the $30 BIS plan.

The 450 and 900 plans are called Everything Data plans, so the proper abbreviation would be ED. Of course, that abbreviation can have a few different meanings... |

Sprint corporate discounts are usually higher than the other companies. With Verizon and AT$T my corporate discount is only 15% with Sprint it's 25%.
My Shared ED with 3,000 minutes is $169 with the discount is $127. Plus I have free nights starting at 6pm with no charge.

Sprint is whoring out the everything plans like it nobody's business.
