Upgrading from 8700...

I've still got an old 8700 and the 60$ a month plan. Avoided upgrading due to loss of scroll wheel. Now my phone is on the fritz dropping calls and freezing. It's beat to crap and gave me a good run, and Im out of contract for like 6 months now.

I'm hinking of the new curve, but trying to avoid getting a rate hike. If I call them to ask for a phone upgrade / contract renewel, will they increase my rate to $75?

My options?
Call tmobile, hope I get the $200 dollar price without hike
Buy on amazon for 100$ with rate hike, an extra $260 over 2 years
Buy unlocked for $500 and keep rate, an extra 300 over 2 years

The way I see it, why should I drop an extra 360$ over 2 years and not even get a BB with 3G. Mine as well switch to ATT for the bold.

What r u getting for$60, I had a 8700, went to a pearl but I do wish I had gone with the curve, look into these new unlimited plans that r coming in a week and talk with CS not a person in a store, and see what they can do for u.
