Default Upgrade to 8900

I think I'm going to take the plunge and upgrade to an 8900 from my 8320. I have never ordered online from T-Mobile but as this seems to be the most cost effective, my question is ... when I receive my new phone, do I simply have to transfer my sim card from my 8320 to my 8900 to get it up and running? Is there anything else I would need to do?

Thanks in advance for your advice ...

You need to switch the PIN in your BIS settings I think.

No you don't need to switch the pin. The blackberry comes with a new pin everytime.

Correct! you do need to switch your PIN in your BIS account so you can get your emails. Also, I would back up your data from your 8320 and restore it on your 8900 via desktop manager

Log into your mytmobile and change both the pin and imei on there in the email section. You can find those on options >status or in the back under the battery.

Also make sure you get the phone on the host routing table by doing options>advanced options>host routing table> menu key and register now.

I would also recommend sending yourself a mms with the 11 digit number twice so that those will work for you.

Hope that all helps.

Find your Blackberry Services on my.t-mobile.com... it's the place you setup your email accounts... then click on "Change Device" and change your PIN to from your 8320's PIN to your 8900's PIN, and click Save.

***EDIT: Log into my.t-mobile.com. Go to the bottom of the page in the "Communication Tools" there is a link to "Set up Blackberry Internet e-mail>" That will get you to the "Change Device" link I talked about above.
