Question Overall Verdict of 8900....Good or Bad...

Hello

I have been reading mixed reviews about the 8900. I went to the local T-Mobile store and saw the display one and the keyboard wobble was horrible. It was very obvious that the keyboard had issues. I have also read that the battery life is not so good. So for the ones that have had it for awhile, overall how do you like it? Does everybodys' keybaord wobble? Thanks for any input

hello Diva..
i was one of the first people to get the tmo 8900 2 weeks prior to release..
I was one of the first to mention the keyboad also..

So far i love my 8900 , the keyboard has not bothered me once I got over the fact that it was not a defect so to speak...
battery life is much better after .133 os install...

hope this helps.. i had a 8100 pearl before...i would get again any day

never base build quality off of a display. i got mine last week and i have to say that it is the 2nd most solid phone i have, right behind an old nokia i had. in the whole week ive had the phone the only issue i've had was a mysterious reboot while my friend was playing with it.

The build quality is poor. RIM and T-Mobile have been sending out defective phones ever since its launch

I love my 8900. The only thing that slightly bothers me is the screen wave/distortion issue.

I have a Rogers branded 8900 and i love it. Keyboard and battery door has a little wobble. I got another Rogers branded for a friend and the battery door and keys are TIGHT.

To be honest with you, I have the 8900 (T-Mo) and have never heard about this "keyboard wobbling" nor have I experienced it and I've been using the phone for 4 weeks now.

Overall, I think this is a verrrry solid phone. I haven't had any hiccups whatsoever and I am a data-extensive person. I've use several applications throughout the day(Poynt Beta, Bolt, Google Sync, Google Maps, Facebook, Myspace, Slifter,...), send emails, photo/text messages, and placing calls. I even have the phone by my side while working out.

Very much like my previous BB, the Pearl 8100, it is a phenomenal device and have absolutely no complaints so far. Im not surprised with this type of performance because it is what I expect from RIM and T-Mo...

I was one of the lucky ones to get an early Javelin and it was the best way to start 2009!

I havent had any problems with the software, nor the keypad. I had a prob with the battery life, but picked up some tips from other blogs and it's no longer a prob.

The TMo 8900 is the best BB to-date since it launced with no bugs, compared to the Storm and Bold.

I have the phone and I absolutely love it. I am going to be returning my 2nd device, but I don't mind having to do so. I will keep on exchanging my phones until I get one that is perfect and has no issues. I would definitely get the phone. It is really worth the money, and I have loved every second of having the 8900.

My wife has had this since the day T-Mobile released it and she loves it. She has not complained about it yet. However, to me it feels like a toy, super light, but everything seems to be holding up. O and we have not experienced the keyboard wooble either.

I really enjoy my phone a lot. I believe it is the best BB to date.
