Default How to set up blackberry curve with Tmobile

I bought a used blackberry (don't have it yet..it's coming) and will be hooking it up with my current service provider Tmobile. Do I call and tell them I bought this blackberry used and have them activate it? Do I just change the phone on my online account? I read just pop my SIM in and go..but doesn't Tmobile need to know the serial number and stuff? Also, this may be a dumb question, but I was told on several occassions by Tmobile that if I already had insurance on my phone (which I do on my samsung) that it would carry over to my new phone..and they mentioned buying off ebay...is this true? Or is it just for NEW phones off of ebay? Should I tell them I bought it off ebay used or what? Sorry new to this thanks!

I suggest you start getting the Blackberry Data plan NOW so that when you get the phone all you have to do is put in your SIM and you're ready to go.

When you get it though make sure to call T-Mobile and have them send you your Service Books.

i just bought a 8120 second hand from another network and unlocked it. it works fine with my t-mobile sim from my 8320, but i do not have a data plan so i couldn't say if that requires extra steps.

I bought an 8320 on Ebay a couple of months ago after washing my first curve. I just put the sim card in and everything worked fine. I called Tmobile and added the data plan to my account. They ask for the IMEI number.
