Angry Getting the Tmobile Shaft

I went in yesterday and signed a new contract (2 yr) and bought a Curve 8320. I expected, logically, to be able to use said device in the way intended as soon as I purchased it.
Not so!
Damn tmobile is giving me the shaft saying I've gotta wait until March 1st when my "other plan expires" to be able to have internet access and features. Supposedly the internet package on the BB conflicts with the unlimited text message plan I had on my previous phone.
So basically, I bought a phone, signed a contract and put my faith in Tmobile only to be told that I couldn't use what I paid for for another five days.
And there's not one person in the Tmobile corporation with the ability to click a 'delete plan' button somewhere and fix my issue?? I refuse to believe I'm S.O.L!!

Wtf?!
Saying I'm a sad panda is a gross understatement.

Actually, the store people were helpful and CS was who told me (more eloquently, obviously) that I'm ****** and they won't ("can't") do anything for me.

If they're like my provider I think they're trying to save you from a pro rated bill. Those can come out pretty confusing and very frustrating. By making the changes on the cycle date, you more than likely will not be shocked with a huge bill.

just got off the phone with blackberry tech support, as uncheels23 suggested..

all this b.s.ing and run-around earlier and this guy tells me he can absolutely make it happen, i'll just have to pay twice-pay the $34.95 fee for the feature today and then have it on my bill again next month.

if I'd been told that was an option (instead of that the great Tmobile gods wouldn't allow it) I'd have done it already!! Were the other "customer service" reps too lazy to suggest it?!

Argh.

Thanks anyway for all your input.

Like aleano said, they were probley just trying to save you the money so it wouldn't be confusing to you.

what's silly is that they should have told me, "hey-this is confusing but you can pay extra and have these charges on the next bill if you want, and we CAN do what you ask" instead of playing helpless and pissing me off. ha ha.

It is because your on flex pay. Like anything you do with flex pay you have to pay for the rest of the existing month as well as the full next months charges. IF your line is suspended for any reason no changes can be made. A the previous reps probably thought no one in their right mind would want to pay 35.00 for five days of internet service. If you are that might be why your on flex pay to start with.

I would definately make sure they prorated my service on my next bill. If you are paying for it you should have complete access to it. If not your new bill for your 8320 should start on March 1st. If not I would b*tch about that.
