Default Post Your Desktop Mac Sync Issues

I've been seeing a lot of sync issues out there for Desktop for Mac. Feel free to post yours in this thread. I find the contact picture sync to extremely frustrating. They are re-sized too small if you upload them from your mac. Anyone else having this issue?

I have a blackberry Curve 8330 and I'm trying to add music to it from Itunes by using the Desktop for mac. It syncs with my phone but after I disconnect my phone and the program, the music is not available on the phone. Can someone tell me the procedure of adding music from my mac to the bb? I must be doing something wrong? FYI: I'm new to bb : )
Thanks so much!

With the upgrade, I can't use Missing Sync anymore, and since my OS is 10.4.11, I guess I can't use the DM for Mac either. Kinda screwed. My laptop is my work one, so I'm not allowed to update the OS.

When I synched my Tour with DM I got a bunch of duplicate, old, and outdated contacts from my Macs Address Book (which I haven't even looked at or used in years! practically forgot I ever even had anything in it) on my Tour. Now my Tour won't let me edit or delete them from the phone. Whenever I try to Delete them the contact just stays there. When I try to edit them at all when I go to hit save I get a message that says "contact updated externally. Changes will be lost and the viewer closed." So basically I can't get rid of them

Just restore from your backup previous to your sync...you did OF COURSE do a backup before the sync....right?

Every time I sync it all my contacts are synced. Okay not sure now to put it but now that synced it 11 times I now have 11 copies of that contact AND strangely I lose numbers or contacts on my phone while they're still in entourage! Fortunately I know my dads number because his name was there without any numbers. Its so screwy. New to Mac and the storms my first BB.

Once you do the restore to your old contact list, be sure to erase all the contacts in your address book before trying another sync. I had this issue as well. Address book will not repeat a contact if the info before hand is the exact same as the one on your phone. If you do have important contacts on your address book that aren't on your BB, then only erase the others.

Hopefully that helps

Do you have the latest version of DM for Mac? Also make sure the merge settings are set up. Personally, I don't like the limited option DM for Mac gives you.

I gotta agree there. I installed the desktop manager disc that came with my phone on my PC at work so I could synch all my contacts and such with Outlook there. (Main reason I even got a Blackberry was for work stuff) and the PC version is way better. Tons more options and customization. You can tell the PC DM who wins in a conflict, set it to synch one way or the other or combined synch like on the Mac, etc. Maybe I'll try and use the PC DM to clear up my contact issue then just use my Mac for back ups and just not synch it at home
