Last night i heard reports of 10.5.6 not recognizing Blackberry 1 (internal memory) on the Blackberry Storm. So, I ran the 10.5.6 update (yes, last i know) and tested this and can no longer get my Mac to recognize Blackberry 1. I checked disk utility and it doesn't recognize BB1 at all.
I don't see blackberry 1 in 10.5.6. I just installed the media sync got blackberry 1 back but it disables the google sync client too. uninstalled media sync and now google sync is working again.
Hope you get missing sync happening. You are all over this site Don and are smarter than me - please do post if you find a solution for 10.5.6 and the missing folder.
well, at first i wasn't getting bb1 so someone suggested bb media sync...that disabled sync with missing sync but got back bb1. uninstalled bb media sync, but still can't get missing sync to work with my phone.
i wouldnt recommend installing bb media sync to get bb1 back....still working on it

Does anyone have a solution for this?
Don. Im having the same problem with my Storm. Have you come up with a fix yet?
Uh, I've been waiting for 3 years for DM for mac. I'm sure others have been waiting longer.
I'm having the same issue. BB Media Sync shows BB1, BB2 but upon uninstall only BB2 comes back. I've noticed that there are BB Media Sync files on the Storm in BB2 now. Wondering if their presence is what's messing it up??
I use VMware Fusion and WinXP to sync, and in WinExplorer I can see BB1 AND BB2. Meanwhile, on the Mac desktop there ist BB2 only. Strange...
(Using MBPro with 10.5.6)
I have the same setup and results as "pilotcap". Its a bit of a pain, but using VMware Fusion allows me to uses windows DM and do full backups, restores and such. I use Entourage and PocketMac. PocketMac will screw up your contacts if you have a two way sync. Calendar seems to be "ok".
I've found that if you change your settings to be prompted to enable mass storage mode when you plug it in that it will usually ask twice and mount both BB1 and BB2. This using 10.5.6 and .99. Also keeps me from unplugging without ejecting the disks as i only mount them when i want to use them and not when i just plug it in to charge
so i checked it again. i plugged in and was prompted to enable mass storage mode. I clicked yes and both BB1 and BB2 were mounted. I then ejected both and unplugged/replugged the Storm and was prompted again. Hit yes and now only BB2 mounted. I then ejected BB2, un/replugged, and this time at the prompt hit no and un/replugged again and hit yes and they both mounted. I've tried this a few times and it seems that every time i replug after hitting no it mounts both volumes.
