Default Slow camera start up

Hey everyone I have a question regarding an issue with my Blackberry 8330 camera. The camera works fine, and snaps pictures fast. It takes a while to save, but it's to be expected since it saves to a memory card.

What my issue is is that that the camera starts up slow. Whether I used the shortcut button or start it up from the menu it takes a good 4-5 seconds to start up. I've done a battery pull without seeing any noticeable difference. My brother has a Pearl, and the camera starts up right away. Any suggestions?

Mine is slow too. I have only 2gb sd in. Should I buy the 8gb? and where would you get it from? Is there a specific brand and model that the curve takes?

Go to options/status and file free is your memory in bytes mine is at 39943567 bytes right now and my camera works fine.. Also you can hold down the alt key and hit the back button and that will show all the applications open

Oh wow yeah that's low.. Take the cover off and pull the battery and put it back in. Have you done this yet? Then check your memory

Default Mine is very slow also

Ever since I upgraded to a 8Gb card (from 2Gb) my camera starts and saves very slow also. It takes about 20 seconds to start and 25 seconds to save. The SD card is a class 6 (at the time the fastest). My solution to the problem was to save the pictures to the phone memory it is very fast now. I just move my pics to the card once there is a dozen or so stored. (Its kinda a pain in the a**) I have plenty of free memory. If anyone else has a solution pleas let me know.
