LOL i was on my blackberry for all that and i failed to see the link.. i am going to order that soon i think because this scratch is driving me nuts (I am kinda OCD about scratches on my electronic screens)
What is the best way to replace the screen.. pop the lens out or remove the faceplate.. and if it is faceplate.. do you just stick a screwdriver in the groove and remove the faceplate or are their latches/screws
I find it easy to just pop the lens out, I dug my finger (I have lil fingers) nail under the lil slit thing at the top and pulled, be careful, dont just like, rip it, kinda peel it...
just get a new screen thingy
then u can test that tube of displex and see if it works, lemme know cuz i really wanna know lol
I used this on my old Pearl and it is not effective. It made the screen worse. Here's why:
You know how when you get water or oil from your fingers on the screen it leaves those rainbow streaks from all the color pixels of the display? Well, when Displex fills in the cracks, it leaves this effect in the cracks PERMANENTLY! BlackBerrys have a protective plastic over the actual screen and Displex is not a reliable resolution. It really looks horrible in the end.

I believe the 8300 series face plate are all made of plastic. That is why they do eventually get hairline scratches if you do not use any form of protection.
