I have an 8330, and I don't want to have to punch in the password every time I unlock my keypad. Is there any way I can have my blackberry request a password only when I power up my phone? I'd like to just press the basic "unlock" keys when unlocking the keypad. Also, is there any way for me to change what keys to press when unlocking rather than the default "send + *"?

No. I don't think there is a way to only have it ask for a password only on power up. The longest option you have before it'll autolock is 1 hour. You can disable the password and not get prompted at all of course.

As far as locking your keys why don't you just put the phone in standby by holding the mute key? Not sure if you can change the default key stroke for unlocking the keys.
