For install instruction to load any carrier 8320 OS on your BB:
1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.
Can anyone who has tried this version tell me if they are able to use UMA and Bluetooth at the same time w/o issue? .52 works fine, but I found when I tried .69 (I think it was) it was impossible to use UMA and Bluetooth at the same time.
Folks, does anyone have any issues with this upgrade? I have had email problems with earlier upgrades so I'm hesitant to upgrade. The original OS 4.2 isnt that bad but I wouldn't mind video recording and a slightly better browser.
So I updated yesterday (thanx Garz!) and now I have duplicate calenders- one doe the device default and one for each email address associated with my BB. Does anyone have that same problem? Any advice on how to step this?

Yeahhhhh!!!!! Finally!! I decided to plunge into the upgrade one last time and after four upgrades on two devices (my 8120 in the past) I finally got the OS working PERFECTLY. The only issue which totally blew it for me during my previous upgrades (4.5.0.52) was not being able to receive emails after trying everything that there is to try for getting it to work. But now I receive emails as well Anyway, so far so good...will update this thread if anything negative comes up. I'm so glad my BB has a 4.5 running instead of the 4.2!
EDIT: After installing the new OS, my BB behaved liked it was nuked. It was stuck at the white screen with the hour-glass for about 10 minutes. At this point I was reading the post on recovering a nuked berry when suddenly the hour-glass acquired a different pattern of rotating (rotating, pausing, disappearing - repeat 4-5 times) so I waited and lo and behold I saw the T-mobile boot-up sign!! Then I just waited for it to boot completely, restored my BB using the back-up file and the emails started pouring in. So, for those who experience this, give the white screen and hour glass at least 15 min before attempting to "recover the nuked berry".
1. The browser is improved such that it also has a small google search box included (like opera mini) and next to that search box you can select google/tmobile/wikipedia/dictionary.com as your search engine. I dont know why they have tmobile in that list.
2. The media player has a new UI, not VERY different but still there's a discernible makeover.
3. For those with OS 4.2, the calendar is also improved in terms of appearance.
And of course, there's the html email and video camera.
I read somewhere about an OTA updater. I'm running .52 but I don't see this option. I'm assuming that even if I did have it, it wouldn't work right? That would be much better than doing the 30 minute update.

I don't have too many additional applications, but am always around 7.5-8MB of free space,..then once I soft reset the phone I'll have circa 15.5 MB free,..
so would it be possible to hook me up with the instructions on recovering a nuked berry just in case for any reason this upgrade tweaks my phone hehe....this will work on a T-Mo 8320 right? lol I know stupid question right
