More file free, but the 131 was always a favorite, so I can say for sure how much better this latest would be.

    This is for the 8320
Yeah Rachel, I fubar'd the title, but hopefully that will get corrected.

That would depend greatly on which OS you currently have installed.

    I had 4.0.5.110

Here is another question, I installed this os yesterday, throught the loader, cuz the desktop manager did not recognize the update, well today it says that there was an update, when I clicked update it says OS installed in my bb is newer that the one instaled on my PC....lf you choose install any appz it will downgrade...

any sugestion how to fix this???

Edit: also when I in the desktop manager to device update y shows me to OS, the one Ihave isntalled, and an older one...
    installed 4.5.0.163
    also show 4.5.0.81.

    any way to fix this??

    1. What version of DM are you using. If 4.7 or higher, that's likely why your getting the message that there is an update. DM 4.7 is checking for the official version of your OS which is .81, that's why you're getting the downgrade message.

    2. If you have .81 installed on your PC, DM will show that in addition to .163. Uninstall .81.

Going form .162 to this one, what, besides more free memory, could we expect? Possibly a stable BBM 5 installation after upgrading?

Just don't click a link in an email or SMS unless you know it's coming and more importantly going to a reliable source. Updates are supposedly to be released later this week, but there will of course be new hacks created to defeat those also. Your carrier should push an announcement to you when updates are available.

I realize that, but I was just wondering if the exploit was fixed in this release since it was a later version than the minimum shown in BlackBerry's Tech Doc. Besides, I only use the browser for Facebook, ESPN, and CB

I'll download and install it tonight when I get home on mine, then install it to the wifey's Curve if it works well for me.
