Consisting of:
Applications: 4.5.0.124

File name: 8300EastAsia_PBr4.5.0_rel174_PL2.7.0.92_A4.5.0.124 _Indosat.exe
File size: 86.01MB
Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...B53786A2C5FA09

Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 8300:

For install instruction to load any carrier 8300 OS on your BB:

1. Back up data on Desktop Manager under Back up/restore option
2. Back up your 3rd party apps. Instructions here--> http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/how-...cations-53201/
3. Disconnect your BB from Desktop Manager
4. Download desired OS to your PC
5. Install/run OS to PC
6. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader if the OS is not from your carrier.
7. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
8. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

***Steps 2 is optional but recommended***

****File Free/OS Memory Leak OS Version Report****

**** Installing OTA(JAD/JAR) Through Your DM ****

***BlackBerry Micro SD card quick guide. ***

***APN/TCP Settings Web Site***

*****Will keep each OS results posted as i run the OS, also i welcome others to report their results/experience(s)*****

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

I'm having problems with the update.
I've followed the steps thoroughly but it somehow doesn't update.
It's not initializing the update or anything.
I also deleted the vendor XML file.

Any help?

what DM version you got? because i heard that DM V4.7 does not recognize new OS, so my advice is to downgrade to DM version 4.6, dont forget to erase Os 4.5.0.102 from you Pc.

good luck

Default Problem after update

I followed the directions and sucessfully updated a Curve 8300 to 4.5.0.110 (platform 2.7.0.90) on AT&T. Everything seemed to be working fine, however the unit seems to be freezing randomly - it has happened when streaming music, on the phone and when surfing. A battery pull works for about 2 minutes and then it freezes again - if I plug it in to the wall it then reboots and works normally until it happens again.

Any suggestions?

All downloaded successfully. I don't notice any difference compared to the previous OS. I do get the 'egg timer' every now and again but nothing to worry about.
