Default help 8330 tethering verizon and OS x

Have been using 8830 tethering to mac osx 10.5 via usb on verizon service. I use vzconnect and it works with usb and bluetooth.

I now have an 8330 and vzconnect doesnt work via usb only bluetooth.
The problem is bluetooth is really slow.

anyone know how to get around this problem by either getting USB to work or speeding up bluetooth.

There's not really a way to speed up the bluetooth and I am not sure how to fix the USB..but I have a question, where did you get VZConnect for your mac? I have looked everywhere for it and I can't find it.

I found out how to get VZAM to recognize the curve with USB. If you plug the phone in and do a soft reset, Alt + Right Caps+ Del and let the phone boot back up it will allow you to add it in VZAM and use it. Hope this helps!

Question OS X 10.4 VZ Curve 8330 *USB 1.1

I'm new to Crackberry forums, & a first time owner of a Blackberry -
Using OS X 10.4 with VZAccess 4.0.1 & after doing a soft reset on a Curve 8330 .. I get a response from the software "Detection Unsuccessful" when querying the modem. P.S. it's a Powerbook 12" with USB 1.1*

Any help is much appreciated.

btw anyone know if you can get more then 130K from the 8330 device when tethered on Verizon's EVDO network. Full bars and my tests don't go above 130k

Question Can't get VZAccess Manager to detect Curve

I have paired the Curve to the Mac using OS X 10.5. However, I can't get VZAccess Manager to detect the Curve either via Bluetooth or USB.

I'm using VZAccess manager 4.0.1. Does anyone have any tips on using the Curve as a modem on OS X 10.5?

Thanks for any help.
