I asked this before but can't find it in the forums. Everytime I reset my bb, messenger erases the contacts in messenger and moves them to pending and sends out a new request to all my contacts. Any advice on how to stop that other than don't do resets?

Yes, battery pulls, or auto resets after deleting an application or alt/shift/del

I did reinstall the os. This started happening with my first os 4.5.0.77 up grade. Now I have OS 4.5.0.102 and the same thing is happening. I even removed and reinstalled BBmessenger and that didn't help!

    Under

    Options
    Security
    General Settings
    Content Protection

    Change Content Protection to Disable.

    See if that fixes it.

i remember reading somewhere on here that there is a bug with 4.5 that messes with BBM if content protection is enabled.

Figured it's worth a try for the OP.

The change content protection seems to have worked! Great! Thanks so much, it was getting really annoying. The only thing, what does diableing the content protection do/undo?

I disabled content protection and its still showing that dumb message in bb messenger!! Anyway other known way to fix it. I waited so long for the verizon version of OS 4.5 and this bug is ruining my experience ..oh well, time to upgrade to to 4.7 via the storm

EDIT: It did fix it, sorta. My contacts have to refresh their status's for it to kick in, else it says "<Content blah blah>"
