I just tried to do a Backup of my 8300 using the Desktop Manager (latest version). I get an error messages when it is "Receiving Profiles." It says: Communication Error. "The data was not recognized by the device." All I can do is click OK, at which point it jumps to Organizing Databases, and shuts down.
Since my last successful backup, I have installed Empower email viewer version 2 (replacing version .91) and SimulSays.
If I wipe handheld, that means a new Enterprise Activation and rienstall of all programs. Ugh!
When you say Uncheck Profiles, do you mean to do a selective backup. I tried that, and Profiles is greyed out and cannot be unselected.
