Yes. Mine does that also. I have the beta to but They are saying the beta is same as the official release so no need for me to try and put the official release on. I think all of the .77 have this situation with the speakerphone and the going to the phone log screen also when attempting to call someone with more numbers then one.

I've also been running the .77 beta and mine dials the number just fine. Of course the phone screen comes up when it's dialing. No issues with the speakerphone coming on either.

I have a Sprint 8330.

I am wondering if the "dial from home screen" setting has something to do with the send key not dialing from the address book properly. Mine is disabled so all the shortcuts work. Just a thought.

All my contacts got deleted. Wonderful

EDIT: Re-added my contacts but uh-oh...

Media player doesn't work and I can't set a wallpaper.

Installed it on my US Cellular 8330, and approximately 4 hours later, I began getting the "hourglass every few seconds" syndrome. I'm in the process now of downgrading to my prior OS. So, didn't work for me.

I installed this version about an hour ago. Seems to be working with Verizon just fine. I'm also on a BES server running exchange 2007 and everything synchd perfectly. I will post back with any issues.

I installed it and tried to open the media player and then began to get the hourglass deal every few seconds..

I did a battery pull and it got stuck on the white screen and now it just shut off.. trying to turn it back on again...

I will be downgrading asap... no MMS either!!! Booo..

Does anyone know if the official release fixes the speakerphone when answering a call issue?

****. I used the Cmder thing to erase my bb then I used DM to try to install 4.5 again. I'm pretty sure I'm screwed it's on this weird diagnostic-like screen and I can't get back to normal...

ok, i got mine installed this morning and no problems, so far. everything works, all data was re entered after the upgrade, so i'll wait and see. if it crashes or something fails, i will post, but so far, following the instruction the OP posted, seems to work fine.

Default Newbie Question

Is this update only for 8330's with certain providers, or is it meant for the phone only and has nothing to do with the network? I have Sprint and would like the latest and greatest OS.
