Cool 4.3 Hand Held OS - Breaking News

Sorry guys i did it again, but I just talked to a blackberry specialist at TMO and they are still testing it and will come out 3 to 6 months from now. It sucks but I would love to test out the Video recording and other features.

Is it possible to take your device to T-Mo and have them do the OS upgrade?
I don't own a Windows machine.

Ok, if you work in the blackberry dept, tell us what month it will come out and this is to narrow it down a little. Its still a broad guess on what your saying. Its either 1-2 months or after 6 months.

The 4.3 betas that I've seen (3 of them now) have sucked. The last one I saw was 4.3.1.19 and it was better but it constantly lost data connections. BBMessenger crashed on several occasions. Video worked on the last version, though.

Personally, I hope they take their time and get it right. 4.2.1 was a disaster, IMO, and I'm hoping the get this 4.3.1 better this time.

yea tmobile will release theirs in 3-6 months doesnt mean that other carriers wont do it sooner...at&t and vodafone have more money than tmobile can possibly dream doubt tmo will get it first most likely at&t vodafone or rogers will get it first but lets stop talking about this everyone wants to get it when it comes leave it at that

^ Out of curiosity what does $ have to do with it?

Does the carrier have to pay a fee for the upgrade or do you mean from a testing standpoint.

In the past T-mobile has been quite speedy in putting out updates - I'm guessing they don't have the red tape to cut through like the other larger carriers.

Im just trying to understand the urgency with wanting 4.3...we went the whole 2007 without and its in beta now so whats the big deal? Anyone who has ever owned a blackberry prior to a pearl knows how an OS can be buggy even after its been beta tested for months. Maybe Im just a patient person ey?

I think it is the desire just to have something new. Unfortunately, not all of us are as patient as you. :-)

I agree. Bought my curve in early June and if the new OS offers the features I've heard of (video, etc), then the OS upgrade would "almost" be as good as a new phone.
