Default intrent browsing on blackberries using BES 5.0

Hi All,

Just using the trial version of BES 5.0 and have moved a few users over to get a feel for it. Everything is running smoothly apart from the users don't have the ability to browse the internet as they previously could using BES 4.0, they just get a message alogn the lines of unknown host google.co.uk:80

I have configured the proxy mappings as the instructions suggest using the regular default expression in the URL and entering our proxy information as follows 10.62.51.1:8080 with the (http bit at the front) and we dont have any authentication on the proxy. We run the BES server on our private network and use the blackberry router component on our DMZ.

Am I missing something???

Thanks in advance

Mic P

You need to adjust the proxy mappings from 10.62.51.1:8080 to http://10.62.51.1:8080.

I don't know why it requires this change but it does and is detailed in the manual.
