Default downgrade compatibility? 4.0 device on 4.1.6 server

hi,

i search for an official document wich describes the support of blackberry devices with version 4.0 in the actual 4.1.6/5.0 version.

i want to update the bes to 4.1.6 but i have no idea if the "old" firmware devices will run without an firmware update. they donīt need the new features but have to sync with the new server (mail, calendar).

Can anybody help here?

best regards
Christian

Yes they will work fine but obviously you will not get any of the new features.
