Default BES Address Book?

I have a question about the capabilities of BES. I am not a BES admin, but do oversee some technology in my department which uses BES.

I would like to establish an emergency contact address book this is global to a specific group of users and have it pushed to their device. In talking to our admin of BES and Lotus Domino they have given me 2 options. They can setup an app to update the local domino client which would update the local address book which would in turn update the BB, however, this requires user interaction. If the user doesnt follow the instrucitons they dont get the update.

They demo'd a second option where an address book could be pushed to the BB device. But the address book is displayed in the browser as a page with the info in it. Although its nice, it doesnt have all the functionality of a true BB address book.

Is there an option to actually have a second address book on a device? Does anyone else have any other ideas I could explore with our admin?

thanks in advance.

You can only specify one address book per user on an out of the box BES.

Putting the address list on a web site and accessing the list via a web page sounds like a valid option to me.

There is almost certainly a third party app that will provide this but you will have to pay.
