Default BES 5 newbie question

Hey guys. Long time BB user here but first time BES admin. We just installed BES 5 today and I am setting up a mixture of Storm and Curves. I have noticed that the Verizon Storms we have are all version 75. I tried to wireless upgrade them to 148 but it says none available. Is there a setting on the server that I need to check to allow the user to OTA the upgrade? If so, where do I do this? Thanks!

To use over the air firmware upgrades the firmware has to be made available by the network operator. Once available you can search for updates on the device.

I don't think that OTA firmware updates are disabled by default so it should work if an update is available.

The setting to disable OTA upgrades is in the IT policy if you want to check.

Default BES 5.0 Push Upgrade

I am running BES 5.0 and push the latest upgrade to .148 from my BES server to all Storm users. I cannot figure out how to get the curves to update from BES yet, but I think that is cause Verizon does not do OTA upgrades for the Curves yet.

Here it Goes:

First you have to let BES manage Device software. Under Topology --> Componant View --> BB Administration Server
Enable BB Device Software Deployment

Now Back under BB Solution Management --> Software --> BB device Software --> Search for new wireless Device Software

It should show up in there, I swear sometimes it does and sometimes it does not. Give it time I like to say it is a VZW issue.
