Default Sim issues

Hi.
I have an 8100 and am having issues with it...I dropped it and now it keeps giving me a message saying I dont have a valid sim in it when I do. I have reset the phone pulled the battery taken the sim out and back in again...I still keep getting this message and not being able to use my phone for anything. any ideas of whats going on or how to fix this? thanks in advance

Sounds like you broke something when you dropped it
You can try a new SIM from your carrier...

Ick...I hate dealing with tmo sometimes but I guess either way Im going to have to deal with them. I got the phone working but when I went to use it it wasnt working again...it keeps going back and forth. I cant afford to buy a new phone and Im hoping I dont have to I think I still have warranty to replace but not sure this is covered. anyways thanks.

If it's intermittent, sounds like you may not have the sim in there as well as you think. The slider works backwords from what would be expected.

In that case, try using an eraser on the contacts. Both the SIM and the device.
