Resync-ing exchange emails?

I have a bit of an issue. I recently switched from using a Google Apps / Gmail account to my company's Exchange server. After successfully activating BES on my BB and upon confirmation that the account was properly working, I then set up an IMAP connection in my Outlook profile to my Google Email account. After downloading all of my emails via IMAP, I copied all of the messages to my Exchange inbox. I was hoping to see these messages appear in my Blackberry Message list, but this did not happen. Is there a way to re-sync the Exchange account with my BB so that I can view all of these imported emails on my Blackberry as well?
