Default Business & Personal Email Question

My wife has both personal and business email accounts set-up on her BB Pearl. Is it possible to "suspend" the business email account when she is at work, and still keep the personal email account active on her BB? Then, when she leaves work, she would reactivate the work email account on her BB.

I don't think so, unless there is some sort of policy that her IT department could push that would control the flow of messages. I've actually gotten in the habit of just using my Storm to process all e-mail, even when I'm at the office.

If you are still looking for an answer, if she has Desktop Manager installed on her work computer, it is tied to BES and has an option to "Turn of Message Redirection while my device is connected to my computer". So when she gets to work, she could plug in her blackberry and the emails will not be redirected.

Now I'm unsure if this affects both BIS and BES accounts (or just BES) but I would assume the latter. However the best way to find out would be to try it out and see what happens,

I only have a BIS account but I'm in a similar situation. My phone is a personal phone but I added my work account as well. I'd love to "pause" my work account during the work day so I don't see those emails on my phone but I don't think the solution described above would work for me.

Hopefully it will work for you but if not, one of the things that I do is configure my profile settings to not notify me (audibly or through the LED) of my work email when I have the phone on vibrate (which is the setting I use at work).
