AFAIK the releases from each carrier are more or less the same. They all include multiple languages, and it just depends on what language you choose during the initial setup. I have downloaded this and I am loading it right now.

Since this is an "official release" is it the same thing that I downloaded as the 4.5.0.37 beta a week or so ago, or is this the final version of what I downloaded as a beta?

Either way, it's good news b/c this probably means 4.5 proper will be on AT&T very soon.

Would this allow my 8800 to use those stereo buletooth headsets?
I currently have the 4.2xx.

Will email over BES still work after such an upgrade, or will it require help from tech support?

There is a .42 beta floating around. The Vodafone release is .37.

The .42 is a Beta. This I believe is the official version for Vodafone. I doubt very highly that a carrier would link up to a beta. Can you just imagine the customer service nightmare that would be.

That's what I was afriad of. My mail is corporate and they would have a problem with having to reconfigure something because of an unofficial OS. Looks like I will have to hope ATT decides to release the OS someday.

I certainly agree. However, Laydros asked if this was a final version of the beta he was using. I was just indicating that there is a .42 beta version floating around now. So, .37 may be the official version released for Vodaphone but there will certainly be other versions to follow since it hasn't been released by other carriers yet and people are able to get the .42 version "underground". After all, .37 was a beta release at one time as well.

Installed and running. A very quick 5 minute check seems to look good. I remember reading about problems with Google Maps, and it seems to work fine, but I haven't tried it outside yet to test GPS. Also GMail seems to be working. It has the slightly newer look in the basic apps (like messaging) and the new font, plus the working video recorder and better web browser. I'll update if I start running into problems.
